钢铁产业

日照是国家和山东省布局的沿海先进钢铁制造基地，先进钢铁制造产业是日照首个千亿级产业，去年产值突破1800亿元，入选山东省“十强”产业雁阵型集群和战略性新兴产业集群。拥有山钢日照公司、日钢集团两大省级“链主”企业，目前共有炼钢产能2745万吨，产能集中度居全国第4位，集装箱板材以及高强钢、油罐钢等产品市场占有率居全国第1位，全球8条ESP生产线，5条在日照；全国9座5000万立方以上高炉，2座在日照。目前规划了总面积36.4平方公里的钢铁配套产业园，大力发展钢材精深加工、钢铁配套服务、新材料等产业。

Iron and steel industry

Rizhao is a coastal iron and steel manufacturing base laid out by the country and Shandong Province. Advanced iron and steel manufacturing industry is the first 100 billion industry in Rizhao. Last year, the industry’s output value exceeded 180 billion yuan, selected as one of Shandong Province’s “top ten” industrial geese clusters and strategic emerging industry clusters. Rizhao Donggang District has two provincial leading enterprises of Shandong Steel Rizhao Company and Rizhao Iron and Steel Group. At present, the region has a total steelmaking capacity of 27.45 million tons, capacity concentration ranks 4th in the country, and the market share of container plates as well as high-strength steel, tank steel and other products ranks 1^st in the country. Of the 8 ESP production lines in the world, 5 are in Rizhao. There are 9 blast furnaces over 50 million cubic meters in China, 2 of them are in Rizhao. At present, a steel supporting industrial park with a total area of 36.4 square kilometers is planned to vigorously develop steel deep processing, steel supporting services, new materials and other industries.
